Califia (pronounced like California) is one of today’s fastest growing, most innovative beverage companies and a groundbreaking partner. With a varying product line of citrus juices, plant-based almond milks, and cold brew coffees, Califia tastes as good as it looks.
The name comes from the Spanish legend of warrior queen Califia who ruled over the mythical island of California.
You probably recognize the iconic “B” on the label, created by none other than Milton Glaser himself, of “I ❤ ️NY” fame, so you probably know the beer inside continues to be some of the freshest and most innovative on the market today, but did you know that Brooklyn Brewery now brews its magical beer in Sweden, Norway, and South Korea? Soon they’ll even be brewing in Australia and Japan as well, pretty cool, huh?

A little over a decade ago, Johannes von Trapp contemplated a brewery at his family’s hotel and resort in Stowe, Vermont - von Trapp Brewing is now an innovative brewery and 150-seat "Bierhall". The Rolec brew house system will eventually produce 50,000 barrels of beer annually - including von Trapp Brewing's award-winning Bohemian Pilsner.
In addition to partnering with DWS on their bottle labels, von Trapp Brewing was one of our first craft brew clients to incorporate shrink sleeves on beer cans.
Fresh off of a full brand refresh and packaging facelift, Runa is now sporting an updated logo and ultra clean imagery. Their labels are printed on an uncoated, water resistant paper that has a tactile feel that complements the organic nature of its brand identity.

They say "good things come to those who wait", and so it was with Apple & Eve. It took 9 years of persistence and patience from Andy Staib before DWS got its first order from Apple & Eve. We've been there for them ever since - 17 straight years. They continue to be one of DWS' largest, most valuable, and loyal clients to this day.
Cary Crane, one of the company's original owners, is a longtime Grateful Dead fan - aka Deadhead - one of the many reasons why the Cranes and the Staibs get along so well.
Sustainability and consciousness pervades every aspect of Long Trail Brewing. In fact, did you know that Long Trail uses a closed loop renewable energy system through partnerships with local dairy farms to power their facility (more on Cow Power HERE), and has one of the lowest water usage ratios in the brewing industry? Now that's progressive!
Long Trail was one of the earliest adopters of DWS` 100% Post-Consumer Recycled, Wet Strength Legacy Label
One of DWS' longest-running clients, it was Gold's that was the catalyst for helping DWS expand into flexographic label printing in 2009. DWS and Gold's share common roots (pun intended) in that they both operated out of Brooklyn, NY for decades, and both are 4th generation family owned and operated, Long Island-based manufacturers.
DWS prints more Gold's Horseradish labels than any other pressure sensitive label.
